Who is karate suitable for at our club?

Karate with us is more than just technique – it is a path that suits every stage of life. Whether you are a child, teenager, adult or returning to the sport, we offer the right framework for every target group.

Children learn discipline, concentration and body awareness in a playful and enjoyable way. Our training boosts self-confidence and teaches values such as respect and fairness.

Karate is a great way to balance out life, especially for young people: it's physically challenging, mentally strengthening, and part of a supportive community.

Whether beginner or advanced – adults of all ages train with us. Karate improves fitness, posture and inner peace, and ensures mental balance.

Have you trained before? Then join us again – at your own pace, with understanding trainers and an open group.

Kyu grades (10–1)
The path to black belt

In karate, each belt level (kyu) represents a stage on the personal journey. Technique, attitude and character grow together. From white belt to advanced level, each stage forms a solid foundation for the next – with clear goals and genuine development.

Beginners – First steps in karate

Grades: 10th to 7th Kyu

Belt colours: White, yellow, orange

In the lower grades, students learn the basics: respect, body control, initial techniques and how to behave in the dojo. The aim is to lay a solid foundation for the future.

Intermediate – Technique & body awareness

Grade: 6. bis 4. Kyu

Belt colours: Green, blue

In the intermediate level, karate grows in depth and precision. Techniques become more confident, combinations more challenging. Fitness, posture and discipline also become more important.

Advanced – The Path to Mastery

From 3rd Kyu

Belt colour: Brown

The upper grades represent inner attitude, clarity and depth in karate. Techniques are not only performed, but understood and embodied. The brown belt is the last major step before transitioning to dan grade.
